Hello John Wesley members and friends,
I was thinking about the following scripture and thought I’d share a few thoughts. Matthew 7:15 tells us to "beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” False prophets are in the business of confusion, twisting the truth so much that you no longer know truth from falsehoods; look around you and you will have no doubt that this statement is true. There are so many false prophets everywhere and they are trying to get your attention at all costs - they are willing to distort the truth, and even lie, to get your attention. These false prophets convince you that a “little white lie” harms no one. But don’t be deceived, lies have no color and are like an infection which starts in one small area of the body and before you know it, has spread thorough the body. False prophets use lies, most often clothing them in half truths so that you don’t know they are lying until that they become raven wolves and you can no longer resist the attractiveness of the lies and the false prophets actions. Remember Satan desires to shift you as wheat so resist Satan and his false prophets who only wish to twist the truth so that you do Satan’s bidding. So keep praying that God will give you the strength you need to resist Satan and his false prophets by clinging to God’s truth in Jesus Christ.
